FORMAT:  Match Play, Everyone will use tee times.

                   9 hole and 18 hole AM will run from 7:30 to approximately 10:10.

SIGN UP:   By SATURDAY, Sept 13 on Golf Genius.

FEE:  No tournament fee – just your usual greens fees, cart if you use one

Our annual Coalheim Tournament takes place on Thursday, September 12. Like its namesake the Solheim, it features match play with the RED team going against the BLUE team. RED Team is defending champion. This is match play, styled after the Solheim and Ryder Cups, with 2 person teams facing off against each other. Both 18 Hole and 9 Hole PM will have matches to determine who is the champion. More info on this will come out later this month.

HOW COALHEIM MATCH PLAY WORKS: 

Coalheim is Red Team versus Blue Team in traditional match play. Holes are won, tied or lost. A point is only earned once the 6-hole match is decided. 18 Hole formats are Holes 1-6 Alternate Shot, 7-12 Better Ball and 13-18 Singles matches. The team Winning each 6-hole match earns One Point for their team. If a match is Tied then each team earns a Half point for their team. There is a total of 4 points that can be earned from each pairings match - 1 point for Alternate Shot, 1 Point for Better Ball and 1 point for each Singles match. Red Team will be defending their title from last year. Special scorecards will be provided with each team and individual pops shown. 9 Hole formats are similar except holes 1-3 are alternate shot, 4-6 are better ball, and 7-9 are singles matches.
